UnTextbook Units

I have listed a few units that I believe will be very interesting to read over the next few weeks. Enjoy!

Week 1- Adam and Eve: Why not start the semester off with a story from the very beginning? This unit talks through Genesis and the story of Adam and Eve, the first male and female on earth. Im interested in biblical history and feel that this is a great place to start!

Most people have seen this picture or a picture similar to this. I think it would be fun to hear and read the different opinions of people while discussing Adam and Eve and creation.

Week 2- Noah and the Ark: It's only right to keep the stories in chronological order...so why not go right into the flood mentioned in the bible? Old history like this fascinates me! This unit not only goes over Noah and the Ark, but also takes reader through the Tower of Babel from Genesis.

Week 3- Bible Women: After learning about the first woman in the world, why not learn about the rest of the women in the bible? This unit walks through both the Old and New Testament and tells of the various women mentioned in Scripture. As women play such a major role in today's society, it would be great to learn about some of the early women and their strengths!

Week 4- Gospel of Mark: To finish the theme of these last few units, the Gospel of Mark will be a great ending point after going through the Old Testament. This unit would go through the entire book of Mark and the life of Jesus Christ.

Yes, I understand that each of these unites come from the bible, but I'm very interested in this material and know that we can all gain knowledge from scripture!

  1. Hi friend! For this week, we are supposed to comment on any stories for the extra credit blog posts. So naturally, I decided to post on your blog haha. I started off with the Adam and Eve stories as well because I had an immediate connection to the stories, as I am sure you did as well. I miss hanging out with your guys in Norman, but I will be up there in the next few weeks so we will have to get everyone together!
